“Terroir was founded to connect wine drinkers with well-crafted, artisanal wines. 

Our name, Terroir, comes from the French word for the environment a wine comes from. It’s the weather and the soils that give a well-made wine unique place-specific flavors. Our favorite definition is “somewhereness.” 

The wines we carry all have this certain somewhereness to them. They are special wines, made by master winemakers. Some are terroir-focused wines, others are philosophical, and some even verge on the divine.

A lot of wine companies just make passable wines that are destined for mass consumption from grocery store shelves. We focus on small-batch, craft wineries, because we believe that the difference in taste is so clear.”
